The City of Rapid City has completed the process of creating the Final Version of the Downtown Area Master Plan.
The Community Planning & Development Services Department, with assistance from consulting firm Progressive Urban Management Associates of Denver, organized a number of working group sessions, open houses and public meetings to gather information and ideas for the plan. A Plan Advisory Team guided the process, offered creative input and provided a “reality check” as alternatives were developed. The Advisory Team included downtown leaders, including City and BID officials, civic partners, residents and key property and business owners.
The final draft was published in July. Revisions have been made, and the Final Version of the 226-page Downtown Area Master Plan is ready for presentation to the Rapid City Planning Commission and the Rapid City Council.
Please check the CALENDAR page for dates and times of these meetings.
